Every once in a while, someone does a demonstration that puts conventional wisdom in its place. For years, the rule of thumb has been that an increase in fuel rail pressure will automatically result in increased fuel delivery from the injectors. As this video shows, there is always an exception to every rule. It also depends on the injector type, and the amount of pressure applied to it.

Here's a great idea, and Chrysler isn't the only one using it. Blind spot monitoring is long overdue. The guy shadowing my quarter panel is the toughest one to spot. And rear cross path detection is a must in the Sam's Club parking lot.

Ford also has a blind spot and cross traffic alert system. Ford calls it BLIS™for Blind Spot Information System, and its radar sensing device can detect cross traffic in a 65 foot range to either side of the vehicle. (The video is paused, so click the play button to start it.)
