Can Penske Save Saturn? Print E-mail
Roger Penske is associated with several successful business ventures. Now, Penske Automotive Group will attempt to do with Saturn what GM could not do--make it profitable. GM will provide three models through 2011 and after that, Penske will have to source vehicles from another source. Renault has been mentioned. (Stop laughing when I mention Renault, that's not polite.)

Time to Vent - Scratch and Dent Print E-mail
Smashing good fun. This video shows that the small-car versus big-car safety argument bears closer scrutiny. Note how the massive Volvo stands flatfooted, leads with its chin, and takes the hit—killing the crash dummy. The smaller Renault channels impact energy away from the driver. Watch how far the Modus recoils, bouncing away from the coming vehicle. Small car safety design will become more important as new CAFE standards reduce vehicle mass.
