November 2008
We've got an assortment of items for you this month, and none are turkeys!

First, we want to tell you about a new feature for members: free automotive illustrations. After you register as a member and log in, a Members menu will appear in the left hand column, right below the Login Form. Select Automotive Images on the menu and you'll link to a catalog page listing automotive topcs. So far we've added over 220 jpeg images in the Brake, Electrical, and Heating and Air Conditioning sections. Select a topic to open a catalog, then browse and copy any images you may find useful to your hard drive. Use them in your monthly newsletter, web site, or in training materials for your classes. We'll add images in more topic areas as time allows.

Thanks to all who have contributed to this issue. Please feel free to drop us a line with questions and comments. If you have a tip or trick that will help a fellow technician, please pass it along and we'll print it here.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

(You thought I would say scope, but we had scopes back then. Their bright lights attracted dinosaurs, so we had to be careful, but we had them!)

Timing Belt Replacement
Dodge 2.4L Timing Belt Dodge 2.4L Timing Belt
By Ralph Birnbaum
This month we wind up our Dodge Stratus project by installing new timing and accesssory belts and a water pump. Call me a wimpy whiner, but I really don’t like replacing a timing belt on the 2.4L. My back doesn’t like it even more. Or is it less? Okay, my back eventually said less of this bending over would be more satisfying. Where's the Aleve?

Their website provides a newsletter with articles and helpful information, and they have an outreach training program taught by top-flight professionals like Al Santini, Scott Manna, and Ken Zanders. Sure hope the repair industry in Illinois appreciates this fine asset!
